Is blood pressure l50/90 dangerous?

used to be l20/80, I am now 72 years old, blood pressure has went up to l50/90, is it something to be aware of? I believe I have the atheromatous aorta, CT scan has these inpression:1.arteriosclearotic cardiovascular disease with moderate fusiform dilatation of the ascending aorta. can anybody tell me is the condition serious
