What are the chances that a Christian will contribute something profound to science in today's world?

Isaac Newton was a Christian and he contributed something quite profound to science. What is the likelihood that another Isaac Newton will come along, somehow manage to accommodate his silly superstitions with reality and contribute something profound to science? Me, I think they’re pretty slim chances; in fact, almost nonexistent because religion in the modern era is growing more and more ridiculous day by day, but what do you think?
