Is the movie "Silence of the Lambs" gory?

Not even close to gory. There are a couple of shots where you'll see blood. But gory is NOT the word to categorize this movie. Anyway, watch it. And pay close attention. Don't miss the details of the conversations in this film. It's fantastic....!
